1. Changing Focus
The following exercises will help you to maintain visual clarity when switching between near and far objects
- Sit in a chair and keep your feet flat on the floor.
- Hold your index finger a few inches from your eye.
- Stare at your finger.
- Slowly begin to move your finger away from your face, keeping your focus.
- Break your focus and look at the distance for a few seconds.
- Bring your attention back to your finger as you slowly move it towards your eye.
- Again break your focus and stare at something distant.
- Repeat this exercise 3 times.
2. Near and Far focus
- Sit in a chair and keep your feet flat on the floor.
- Keep your thumb about 10 inches away from the face.
- Watch your thumb for 15 seconds.
- Break your focus and look at something 10 to 20 feet away for 15 seconds.
- Bring your attention back to your thumb.
- Repeat this exercise 5 times.

3. Figure eight
Sit in a chair with your feet flat on the floor.
- Focus somewhere on the floor about 10 feet in front of you.
- Make eight numbers with your eyes around this place.
- Continue tracing figure 8 for 30 seconds, then change direction.
4. The Rule of 20-20-20
Relaxing your vision will help you reduce the symptoms of eye strain. One of the most common exercises that optometrists recommend involves the 20/20/20 principle.
Every 20 minutes, look at something 20 feet away for 20 seconds.
5. Eye Movement
- close your eyes.
- With gradual movement, lift your eyes upwards and then downwards.

6. Brock String
- Secure the end of the long wire on the door knob or other stationery.
- Hold the other end of the wire under your nose.
- Place a small bead on the wire.
- Keep both eyes open, and pay attention to the bead.
- You should see 2 wires in the shape of an X with a bead in the middle.
If you see 2 beads and 2 wires, your eyes do not match the bead. If you see only one wire, make sure both eyes are open.
7. Pencil Pushups
- Between the eyes, hold the pencil at arm’s length.
- Slowly move it towards your nose, trying to maintain a single image of it.
- Keep bringing the pencil to the nose until the pencil is no longer a single picture.
- Move the pencil back to where it appears as a picture.
- Repeat 20 times.

8. Barrel Cards
- Draw 3 barrels (small, medium, and large) on one side of the index card, Using the red marker.
- Draw the same barrel in green, On the other side of the card
- Place the card in front of your nose, with the largest barrel far away from your face.
- Focus on the largest barrel until it appears as a single picture with both colors, and double the other 2 barrels.
- maintain your focus for about 5 seconds.
- Repeat this with the other 2 pictures.
9. Around the World
It is always important that your eye muscles are still exercising in the right amount to manage tracking and saccading problems.
- For Around the World, find a place where you can sit or stand for a few minutes without interruption. Then, look straight up for 3 seconds and look down for 3 seconds. Focus on the object in front of you, then on the left for 3 seconds, and then on the right for 3 seconds.

10. Alphabet Ball
